A RBSOLU'rIOJI OF 'rIIB CITY COUlfCIL
OF 'rIIB CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
DESIGNATING A LAllDMARlt TREES 90-58
WHEREAS, Sec. 10-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo Grande provides for
the preservation and protection of certain trees in order to produce a more desireable,
pleasing and beautiful community and to maintain and enhance community historic, cultural
and property values, as well as to promote the public health, safety, comfort, and welfare;
and
WHEREAS, these trees at 221 East Branch Street, in the City of Arroyo Grande, and as
located and identified on the map attached to this resolution, has been examined by the
Parks and Recreation Director of the City of Arroyo Grande and have been found to be two
Redwoods and one Incense Cedar; and

WHEREAS, these trees, due to their age, species, configuration, and historical value
meets criteria for Landmark Tree designation as determined by the Parks and Recreation
Director and Parks and Recreation Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation commission of the City of Arroyo Grande recommends
to the City Council that these trees should be preserved and protected and designated as
a Landmark Trees.
NOW TIIBRBPORB, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande hereby designates these
trees as a Landmark Trees and directs that it shall be monumented as Landmark Tree Number
90-58; and
PURTBBRNORB, these trees shall be protected, preserved and maintained by the tree
owner and subsequent tree owners and such trees shall not be removed or destroyed by any
party unless otherwise authorized by Sec. 10-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Arroyo Grande.
