RESOLUTION NO. 2365
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE SUPPORTING
THE CALIFORNIA OAK FOUNDATION AND
"1990 - '!'HE YEAR OF THE OAK"
, WHEREAS, California Native Oak trees are an integral part of
I our oities' wildlife and provide aesthetic beauty to all who view
them; and
WHEREAS, Sec. 10-3.06 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code
i provides for the preservation and protection of certain trees,
including oaks; and
WHEREAS, California Native Oak trees have been harmed
statewide by urbanization and agricultural practices,
NOW, THEREFORE,. BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Arroyo Grande supports the California Oak Foundation and
"1990 - The Year of the Oak," and directs C:i.ty employees to
implement, as feasible, activities of the special year.
On motion of Council MelilDer Smith, seconded by Council Member
Moots, and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES; Council MelilDers Smith, Hoots, Dougall, Olsen and Mayor
Millis
NOES: None

i the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 9th day of
