RESOLUT ION NO. 2356
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
DESIGNATING A LANDMARK TREE 89-52
_ WHEREA?, Sec.l0-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo
brande prov,des for the preservation and protection of certain trees in
order. to produce a more desira~le, pleasing and beautiful community and
to ma'ntaln and enhance community historic, cultural and property
val~es, as well as to promote the pub1 ic health, safety, comfort, and

_ WHEREAS, th i s tree at 214 E, Branch Stre.. t, in the City crf Arroyo
Grand.., and as located and id..ntified on the ma~ attached to this
r..solution. has b..en examined by the Parks and ecreation Director of
the City of Arroyo Grande and has b..en found to b.. a Cedar of Lebanon

WHEREAS, this tree, due to its age, species, configuration, and
historical value me..ts criteria for Landmark Tree designation as
determin..d by the Parks and Recreation Dir..ctor and Planning Commission;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of th.. City of Arroyo Grande
recommends to the City Council that this tr..e should b.. pr..s..r'v..d a_nd
protected and designated as a Landmark Tree.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande hereby
designates this tree as a Landmark Tre.. and directs that it shall be
monumented as Landmark Tree Number 89- 5~ and
FURTHERMORE, this tree shall be protected, pr-es..rved and maintain..d
by the tre.. owner and sub<:.equent tree owners and such tree sha) I rIot be
r..mov..d or destroyed by any party unl..ss otherwis.. authoriz..d by
S..c,10-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo Grand...
