It is proposed to be constructed out of copper and left to naturally weather. The piece will be affixed to a base, likely of granite, and be approximatley 2’-5’ tall. Basket piece will have diameter of 4’ and will represent a coiled basket, with cutouts and weldings to give it a three dimensional appearance. 4 Project Information Project intended to represent yak tityu tityu culture Inform public about art of basketry to indigenous people Inspired by traditional basket designs Proposed to be located in triangular planter area near creek overlook platform Artist: Leah Mata 5 The second art piece consists of a Village style bench with a bronze relief of Harriet Quimby, who lived in the City for a number of years and was so fond of the area that she referred to it as her birthplace.
