RESOLUTION NO. 2333
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE APPROVING THE 1989-1990 ANNUAL LOCAL
TRANSPORTATION FUND CLAIMS TO THE SAN LUIS.OBISPO
AREA COORDINATING COUNCIL
WHEREAS, revenues derived from 1/4~cent of the 6 percent retail sales
! tax collected statewide are apportioned to local governments to be used for
transportation purposes, pursuant to the Transportation Development Act of
1971; and
WHEREAS, the City of Arroyo Grande's apportIonment of Local
Transportation Funds (LTF) for FY 1989-1990 Is $281,092; and
WHEREAS In addition the City of Arroyo Grande's apportionment of
State Transportation Assistance (STA) Funds Is zero; and ----L.-
WHEREAS, the City Intends to use its LTF and STA revenues for
operational expenses associated with the SCAT System, the Regional
Handicapped Transit System, the SlO-SCAT link System, and for Streets and
Roads; and
WHEREAS, the City of Arroyo Grande hereby states a preference for
using additional LTF, if such funds become available, for Streets and Roads;
provided, however, that the City reserves the right to file an amended claim,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Arroyo Grande City
Council approves the City's LTF and STA claims for Fiscal Year 1989-1990,
and directs staff to proceed with submittal of the claim documents.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande, In accordance with Chapter 1400, Statutes 1971 and applicable rules
and regulations, approves the 1989-1990 Annual Transportation Claim, as per
Exhibit A attached, and authorizes its submittal, along with other --~-
documentation required, to the San Luis Obispo Area Coordinating Coune; I.
