R 2329 1'30 ) RESOLUTION NO. 23~ A RESOLUTION OF TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING RESOLUTIONS 2322 AND 2323, WHICH ADOPTED SALARIES AND BENEFITS FOR MANAGEMENT, MID-MAN AGEMENT, CONFIDENTIAL, PART-TIME, FIRE VOLUNTEERS, AND POLICE RESERVES, FOR THE YEARS 1989-90 AND 1990-91 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: .... WHEREAS, certain dollar-value benefits have been provided to employees represented by the Arroyo Grande Police Officers Association, and It Is the desire of the City Council to provide equIvalent dollar-value benefits to other City employees; and WIIEREAS, the possibility of application of certain fringe benefit dollar-values, :J previously provided to management, mid-management and confidential employees, has been eliminated as a non-salary fringe benefit, and it is the desire of the City Council to reapply this previous fringe benefit dollar-value to salaries for these employees. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Resolution shall amend Resolution No. 2322 as follows: 1. Management, mid-management and confidential employee salaries will be ! increased $40/month ($480/year), to become the following annual amounts during 1989-90, effective July 1, 19891 City Manager $66,820 Public Works Director/City Engineer 56,787 Police Chief 55,863 Planning Director , 53,389 Fire Chief 52,478 Finance Director 47,389 Parks and Recreation Director 46,687 Public Works Superintendent 38,422 Chief Building Inspector 38,422 City Clerl( 35,148 Executive Secretary to City Manager 28,715 Computer Operator/Clerk Typist 20,301 2. Effective July 1, 1989, the City will Increase Its payback of PERS deductions, to the above employees, from 5.00 percent to 6.75 percent of the 7.00 percent deducted for , PERS retirement. Effective July 1, 1990, the City will pay back the remaining 0.25 , percent, for a total of 7.00 percent deducted for PERS retirement. , , i I An exception to the above Is the City Clerk, who opted previously to receive salary In , lieu of PERS payback: the City will pay back 1.75 percent of the PERS deduction of the City Clerk, effective July 1, 1989, and 2.00 percent (an additional 0.25 percent), effective July 1, 1990, of the 7.00 percent deducted for PERS retirement. The City Clerk will i contribute the remaining portions. I An additional exception to the above is the City Manager, who heretofore has U received no PERS payback: Beginning July 1, 1989, the City will pay back 1.75 percent of the Manager's PERS deduction. Effective July 1, 1990, the City will pay back an. additional 0.25 percent (for a total of 2.00 percent) of the 7.00 percent deduction from the City Manager's salary. - -.---. ...
