WHEREAS , the City of Arroyo Gran:le has been notified through
correspondence, da~ December I, 1988, that the Deparbnent of Water
Resources was solicitin;J applications for the 1988-89 grant cycle for the
urt:>an stream Restoration Program: an::1
WHEREAS , the City of Arroyo Gran:le has prepared an application for
furxli.n;J urx:ler the program: an::1
WHEREAS, the deadline for mailing of the application was February 28,
1989: an::1
WHEREAS , the City staff has fozwarded the application with a
transmittal from the Mayor, dated February 27, 1989, to construct
iItprovements on Arroyo GraOOe creek on four locations: an::1
WHEREAS , the policies for inplementation of the Urt:>an stream
Restoration Program pennits acceptance of a letter from the Mayor as an
acceptable interim measure until a full City Council resolution can be
submitted.
NOO 'lliEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Arroyo Gran:le approves an::1 authorizes submittal of the application entitled
city of Arroyo GraOOe, Arroyo Grarde creek Stabilization Project, February,
1989; an::1
BE IT FURlliER RESOLVED, that it is the intent of the city Council to
complete the project as a logical extension to its recent project to
stabilize the creek in the vicinity of the swinging Bridge an::1 to provide
necessary funding support for the estimated cuoount of $8,200, bringing the
total project to $38,200, so that said project can be completed in a period
of time not to exceed 12 =nths.
