The City Cauneil met in regular session with
~a.yor J.S.Gibson presiding.
Upon roll call Councilmen Phillips~5chnyder~
and ~ienny reported present.<i~bsent Councilman '~'helander.
~inutes of previous meeting re~d and approved.
Communicatians re~d and ordered filed.A communie3ti~n
from the I~iodel Linen Supply Co.requesting a Iicense
reclassification inta a lower rate bracket was discussed
by the Couneil.i7pon regular motion,seconded and unanimously
passed it was agreed that begining with the first c~uarter
of 1943 to fix this lieense at ~ 3.Q4 per q~3rter.
~fter considerable discussia~ of the fire risk at
the ~ance Hall on Branch ~t. ~olice Chief I~leKenzi~ was
requested by the Council to see ~vhat could be donein
obtaining wider and safer exits.
Upan regular motion~seconded ~nd passed without
dissent~the Council authorized Chief ~eKenzie to purchase
for City use ~ Finger rrint xit.
Claims against the General Fund in the amount of
~ 676 .I2 ~ the ~ia.ter ~'und in the amount ai' $ 483 •~I ~nd
the ':~i~ter D~+posit Fund in the ~mount of ~ 24.00 were
audited~approved and ordered ~aid.
No further business appearing and upon motion
the meeting was adjourne~.
