The City Council met i~. regular session v~~ith IUiayor ~.S.uibson
presiding. .
Upon ro~l call Councilman Schnyder,~~enny and Lierly reported
present.~bsent Councilman ~'hillips.
The minutes of the previous meeting ~~~-~ere read and approved as
~ ` read.
Corr~nicatons were read and placed on file.
Street Supt; Ewing was authorized to sign papers granting
permission to the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company to trim
limbs and tops of trees along the Kighway and on ~alley Road.

_N;cKenzie reported that he had talked v~ith P,?r Pruess and
~ Mr ~iearn in regard to the sc~les on ~he sidewalk and they
reported that the Company who put the scales there had them fully
insured but that ~Fahen the man came alon~; later this month they
would ask them to remove the scales.
Building permits vaere discussed and Councilman Schnyder made
a motion~seconded by Councilman Lierly to grant the following
~ermits:~;~.1~".Betita build a double garage and vJash house on I~ason
Street to cost.~ 600~,~ndy L.:~ilcox ta put a partition in the paint ~
shop on west ~ranch to cost 75~ and ~~r Bertrem to build a gara~e I
on the south xighway to cost $~00~ motion carried. I
George Barnes the building inspector was to see C~a.s.Bell about
rutting ~ quonset hut on his preperty on Short Street.
Bills against theGeneral Fu~d for ~ 72I.42~the ~tti'ater ~'und for
~ 823•33~the ~~later Deposit Fund for $ 16.00 and the Ineome Tax Fund
for $ 219.20 were audited , approved and ordered paid.

Upon rm1l call Councilmen Phillips~Schnyder?Menny and Lierly
reported present. Absent ~qayor Gibson. ~
A motion made by Councilman Phillipslseconded by Councilman 1
Menny to have Couneilma.n Schnyder act as ~ayor. {

The Clerk was i~structed to v+r~~te the Federal Housing Administr- ~I
ation for help on plans to zone the City.
The License Ordinance was discussed and the Clerk was asked'to
call Attorney Harris and arrange for a special meeting to frame
up the new Ordinance.
Building permits were discussed and CouneilmanPhillips made a ,
motion~seconded b~ Councilman Lierly to grant the following permits~
subject to the approval by the j'uilding Inspector~ H. Liquor j
store,shelving and Partition to cost ~ 250.OO,Sydney. Horner rebuild I
a garage cost $ 30~.OO~Robert B.Forsyth make an addition to his ;
house$ 1300.OO~Waldo Ha.rt build a garage $ 40Q.OO~Don shaffer re- I
surface Yard and install 10,000 ga.l. underground tank and one pump '
for $ 3000,00 and Don Shaff~r build a~arage and warehouse to cost
$ 1500.0~.
