Phillips presiding. Upo~ roll call Councilinen Sehnyder,A~~enny and Rountree reported present.Absent eouncilman Lierly. The minutes of the previous me~ting ~rere read and approved as read. The comm~nica~ions v~ere read and placed on file. I~2r TA'.B.~h'ilders reauest to connect with the Citys sewer line which runs across his nroperty was discussed and it was thought best to give the matter more study and it wa.s to be taken up at the next meetimg. The sewer line on ~tiihiteley and Poole ~treets was discussed and it was sug~ested that a~~r I~qeCoy eontact a contractor and get ' figures on the::work to be done so the property owners could be told about what it would cost them to have the sewer line put in. The request of the 1~AercYiants Association for dia~onal park- ing was discussed a.nd the City Attorney was to contact the Nighway Patrol and see wha~ was being dane in regard to that _ and also to get in toueh with Mr polliver and see if he could be present at the next meeting end representatives from the l~erchants A~soc. were asked to be present and hear the matter d~scussed. The resurfaeir~g of ~~aest Branch Street was discussed and it v~ras suggested that Mr Conrad contact ~~r polliver and discuss the draina~e there. There being na bids in on i~he property advertised far sale Mayor Phillips asked if anymne present was here to bid.ori the property and h~r~,D.A.Rowe replied that he was here to pls~e a. bid on behalf of IvIr Ivan Loomis and ~:~iss Ruth Paulding': "~i.~'~ first bi~ on Parcel 2 was for ~ 50.00 which was refused and he asked if he might place another bid and was told he might and his bid for ~ 10~.00 ~ras accepted upon a motion by ~ouncilman Rountree~seconded b~.r Councilman Schnyder and he gave a check ` for ~ lO.Of} on the purchase~the balance to be paid when the deeds were made. ParceZ # 1 was withdr~wn as there were no bids on it. ~gayor Phillips ~~pointed the following as members of the new Planning eommission,subject to the ar~proval of the Board: ~.Vard Loomis~R.l~~.Pennett~Don Shaffer~Claude Devereaux~Leo Brisco and Guy Stewart. Councilman Schnyder made a motion~ seconded by Cauncilman Rountree to aceept the m~mbers appointed by I~Tayor Phillips. Councilman T~Ienny made a motion~seconded by Councilman Sehnyder ' that Councilman Rountree work on the Planning Gommission as the member from the Council. Councilman Rountree was asked to get in tc~ueh with the me~!bers as to the best time for ~:'time for meeting and contact Mr Conrad as to the best time suitable for him and then notif'y ~ ~ Mr Harris the Attorney in advance. It vwas reported the flasher for the blinker had arri~ed and Mr Turney would put it up as soon as possible. Councilman ~chnyder m~de a motion that I~ayor Phillip~ be author~zed to sign the deed for the lot sold tv Loomis and Paulding.
