The City ~auncil met in speci~_1 session for the purpose af
reviewing applications to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of
b2r. '~wi.ng, and also to discuss the guard for the school crossing.
I~~~ayor Phillips presided and Councilmen ~chnyder~ Clark~ Di~son~
and Hawk alI reported present.
!~fter discussion it was decided to take ca~e of the crossing
~uard for this school year. Councilman ~chnyder r~de a. motion~ seeonded
by Councilman ~lark to employ 1U~,rs. Berneda lt4ontgomery at $75.00 per
month for the school year.
Applicati ons from P.Z. ~~ason ~ Seth H. Bell ~ F1.oyd Holmes ~
Dalford E. ~9Talters~ and Halbert E. Anderson ~uere discussed~ and it was
suggested tl~a t Halbert E. ~nderson be ~iven a 30 day trial.
Other matters were discussed~ b ut no action taken.
