RJroLUTION NO. 2210
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE ADOPl'ING A NEGATIVE
DECLARATION AND APPROVING GENERAL PLAN
UPDATE 88-1, ADOPl'ING THE UPDATED PARKS
AND RFCREATION ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Arroyo Grande has determined that it is appropriate and
necessary to update and revise the Parks and Recreation Element of the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Element was last updated in 1970; and
WHEREAS, the updated Parks and Recreation Element is necessary in order to
accurately reflect the existing and future I'ecreational needs of the City's residents; and
WHEREAS, the proposed update was reviewed in canpliance with the requirements of
the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and it was determined that the project
would result in no significant effects on the environment and, therefore, the reccmnendation
of a Negative Declaration is appropriate; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and considered the updated and revised
Parks tind Recreation Element and the environmental findings at a public hearing on November
22, 1988, and did solicit pUblic C<XIJ"rent at this meeting.
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande does hereby:
1) Adopt a Negative Declaration for General Plan Update 88-1; and
2) Approve General Plan Update 88-1, adopting the updated Parks and
Recreation Element.
On motion by Council Member Millis, seconded by Cbuncil Member Moots, and by the
following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Cbuncil Members Millis, Moots, JOhnson, and Porter.
NOES: Mayor Mankins
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 22nd day of November, 1988.

I, NANCY A. DAVIS, City Clerk of the City of Arroyo Grande, County
of San Luis Obispo, State of California, do hereby certify under penalty
