WHEREAS, Sec.l0-3.06 of the Municipal Code,of th. City 9f Arr9(0.
Grande provides for the preservation and protectIon ot certain trees In
order to produce a more d~sirable, pleasioQ and beautiful community and
to maintain and enhance community'historic; cultuf'al a.nd property
values, a:. well as to prc1mote the pub] ic heal th, safety, comfclr.t~ .::~nd
welfare; and
WHEREAS, th i s. tree at 5~,l Cr'own Hi 11, in the Ci ty of I':ir'r'c./c, C,r'.~ndE',
and as located and identified on the map attached to this resolution,
has been examined by the Parks and Recreation Director of the Cit). of
Arroyo Grande and has been found to be a Coastal Live OaK rree; and
WHEREAS, this tree, due to its age, species, configuration. and
hi-:-torical value meets criteria for Landmark Tree deSIQn<<tlon as
de ter-m i nE'd by the Par-'~ s. and Recreation Director' and Pl~nning Commission;
and

Grande recommends to the City Counci 1 that this tree should be preserved

FURTHERMORE, this tree shall be protected, preserved and maintained

removed or destroyed by any party unles.s otherwise authorized by
Sec.l0-3,06 of the Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo G~ande.
