RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
DESIGNATING A LANDI'IARK TREE 88-48
WHEREAS, Sec.l0-3.06 of the Municipal Code 01' the City of AN'OYO
Grande provides for the preservation and protection of certain trees in
order to I?roduce a more desirable, pleas.ing and beautiful cormnunity and
to maintain and enhance community historic, cultural and property
values, as well as. to pr-c.mote the pub I ic heal th, safety, cc.mfor.t, and
"'Jelfare; and
WHEREAS, thi-~- tr-ee at 551 Crown Hill, in the City of Arroyo Gr'ande,
and as located and identified on the map attached to this resolution,
has been examined by the ParKs and Recreation Director of the City of
Arroyo Grande and has been found to be a Coastal Live OaK Tree; and

WHEREAS, this tree, due to its age, species, configuration. and
historical value meets criteria for LandmarK Tree designation as
determined by the ParKs and Recreation Di r'ec tor' and Planning Commiss.ion;
and
WHEREAS, the ParKs and Recreation Commission of the Ci ty of Arr'oyo
Grande recommends to the City Cour,cil tha t th i s tree should be preserved
and pro tee ted and de".; gnated a". a LandmarK Tree.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande her-eb)'
designates thi". tr'ee as a LandmarK Tree and dir'ech. that it shall be
monumented as LandmarK Tree Number 88-48; and
FURTHERI'IORE, this tree shall be protected, preser'ved ar,d m<<intained
bY the tree owner and subsequent tree owners and such tree shall not be
removed or destroyed by an)' party unless otherwise <<uthorized by
Sec.l0-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo Grande.
