4 RESOLUTION NO. 2262
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
DESIGNATING A LANDMARK TREE 88-46
WHEREAS, Sec.10-3.06 of the Muoicipal Code of the City of A~~oyo
G~aode p~ovides fo~ the p~ese~vation and protection of certain trees in
order to produce a more desirable, pleasing and beautiful commuoity aod
to maintain and enhance community hIstoric, cultural and property
val ues, as well as to pr.omote the publ i cheal th, safety, comfor.t, arid
welfare; and
WHEREAS, this. t~ee at 551 C~own Hi 11, io the Ci ty of A~royo G~aode,
and as located and identified on the map attached to this resolution,
has been examioed by the Pa~Ks aod R~cr~ation Di~ector of the City of
Arroyo Grande and has b~en found to be a Coastal Live OaK Tree; and
WHEREAS, this tr.ee, due to its age, species, configuration, aod
historical value meets criteria for LandmarK Tree designation as
dete~mined by the Pa~Ks and Recreation Di~ector and Planning Commission;
and
WHEREAS, the Pa~Ks and Recreatioo Commissioo of the Ci ty of Ar.~oyo
Grande recommends to the City Council that th i s tree should be preserved
and protected and designated as a Landmark Tree.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande hereby
designates this tree as a Landmark Tree and di~ects that it shall be
monumented as Landmark Tree Number 88-46; and
FURTHERMORE, this tree shall be p~otected, preserved and maintained
by the tree owner and subsequent tree owners and such tree shall not be
removed or destroyed by any party unless otherwise autho~ized by
5ec.10-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo Grande.
