The City Council met in regular session xith Mayor Simpson presiding. Upon~
roll call Councilmen Kerr, Kirkpatrick and Burt reported present. Councilman
Sturges arrived later.
The minutes of the previous regulax meeting were read and approved as read.
Mayor ~i.mpson reported for the committee~:~rhich had been appointed to contact
the county to see if any help would be available toxards a bridge and road from
Halcyon Road to Valley Road. He reported they had reviewed the proposed routes
with Mr. Sheehy and he had suggested they decide on the route and obtain the
right-of-way~ and then ask for aid. The Council agreed to n~et at the City Hall
Friday January 22, at Lt P.M. to view the proposed roadways.
Mr. W. Filer, representing the Lions Club, requested a change in the
agreement on the property purchased from the city. A motion was made by
Councilman Kirkpatrick, seconded by Councilman Kerr to ma.ke the change, the
motion was later withdrawn and Councilman Sturges recommended the matter be
referred to Mr. Harris and Mayor 5impson suggested Councilman Sturges take the
agreement up with Mr. Harris.
Letters from G. H. Hamlin and Kenneth W. Wright were read and discussed and ;

after discussion a motion was made by Councilman Sturges, seconded by Councilman ~

Burt to hire A~r. Ha.mlin as of February 1, 1951~, under the terms of his letter.

When the motion was put to vote all members voted Aye with the exception of
Councilman Kirkpatrick who voted no.
Mr. ~,nderson was asked to write a letter to Mr. Wright thanking him for ;

submitting his proposal.
Councilman Kirkpatrick said he had been contacted about trucks being left ~

parked on the highway across from the Richfield station and the matter was to be
referred to the Police Chief. ~
Bills against the General Fund for ~1611~.60, and the Water Fund for ~5555.??
xere audited, approved and ordered paid.

No further business appearing and upon motion the meeting was ad~ourned. j
