Minutes 1954-04-20 ~ V ~ i. , Arroyo Grande, California April 20, 1954 The City Council met to canvass the returns of the General Municipal Election ; { held April 13, 195~, Mayor Si~son presiding. Upon roll call Councilmen Kerr, f Kirkpatrick, Burt and Sturges reported present. There were 10 absentee votes to canvass and tally and the absentee votes ' . ~ were as Sollows: j Paul L. Stonesifer 4 RESOLUTION #30b IN THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, RFSOLUTION DECLARING RFSULT OF ELECTION. tCh~~C the whole number of votes cast in said City Was 394, that the names of the persons voted for, the office~sf~r which they were voted, the number of the votes given in each precinct to each of said persons together with the whole number of votes which they recd~ived in the entire city are as follows: Name of persons voted for: Paul I.. Pence Councilman Fu1,1 Term 191 William M, Stonesifer Councilman Full Term 115 RESOLVED `1'HEREFORE, that at said General Municipal Election; Maurice (Maury) Brennan was elected Councilman of the ~ity of Arroyo Grande for the full term of four years. ' Also that Jack 0. Pence was elected Councilman of Said city for the full term of four years. `i'he City Clerk shall immediately make and deliver to each of such persons elected, a certificate of election, signed by him and duly authenticated; he shall also impose the constitutional oath of office and have them subscribe thereto, whereupon they shall be inducted into the respective offices to which they have been elected.
