RESOLUTION NO. 2253
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE ESTABLISHING A "NO PARKING" ZONE
ON A PORTION OF NEWPORT AVENUE (MUNICIPAL CODE
SEC. 2-7.04)
WHEREAS, it appears necessary and desirable to prohibit
parking on a portion of Newport Avenue, as specifically
described below:
NOW, THEREFOnE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Arroyo Grande, as follows:
That a "no parking" zone be established on
the southerly frontage of Newport Avenue,
extending from a point thirty feet (30' )
south of the intersection of the centerlines
of Montego Street and Newport Avenue, thence
westerly to a point on the southerly right-
of-way line, two hundred feet (200')
southwest of the intersection of the
centerlines of Montego Street and Newport
Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Police of the city
of Arroyo Grande be, and is hereby authorized to provide and
install sufficient signs and/or markings to indicate said "no
parking" zone.
On motion of Council Member Porter , seconded by Council
Member Johnson , and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Porter, Johnson, Millis, Moots and Mayor Mankins
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
"the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 11th day of
October 1988.
