RmOLUTION NO. 2251
A RmOLUTION OF THE CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE DISAPPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMEND-
IltENT NO. GPA 88-3 AND P-D REZONING CASE NO. 88-207
RELATING TO THE REALIGNMENT OF W1'SI' BRANCH STREET
WHEREAS, the City Cbuncil of the City of Arroyo Grande has considered General Plan
Arrendment application No. 88-3 and P- D Rezoning Case No. 88-207, filed by the City of Pisroo Beach,
for the realignment of IV est Branch Street near Oak Park Boulevard; WId
WHEREAS, the Planning Coonlission has reconmended disapproval of General Plan Amendment
No. 88-3 WId P-D Re2.oni~ Case No. 88-207; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that UIe following CirCUlTBtanCes exist:
1. Approval of this project would endanger the public health, safety and general welfare
of the residents of Arroyo Grande, since construction of the road aligM\ent propcscd
will create unsafe traffic conditions.
2. The project will have an adverse impact on the environment, since it will create
unsafe traffIc conditions.
3. The project is inconsistent with Section 4, Paragraph 1 of Ordinance 140 e.s., in Umt
the road improvements do not meet City standards.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RmOLVED that the City Cbuncil of the City of An'Oyo GrWlde
hereby disapproves General Plan Amendment No. 88-3 and P-D Rezoning Case No. 88-207.
On motion by Cbuncil Menber Johnson, seconded by Cbuncil Member Millis, and by the following
roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Cbuncil Members Johnson, Millis, Porter, Moots and Mayor Mankins
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
