Councilman Brennan reported Mr. Sheehy and Mr. Beck would be down Thursday t~ go over the rorads and aee if the County could cooperzte in zny way. Mr~ Anderson wus ~sked to prep~re estimates on sewers to the Montgomery prop~rty on E. Cherry Avenue ~nd to the Beckett lots on Wilton Place. Mr. Ander~ n report~d the tsink ~nd v~lve h~d been instzlled by Mr. Dillaha but were not ~rorking ~nd Mr. Dillahs~ wished to confer with zn engineer from another PumP ~omPanY• The Council zskdd if there h~d been any further word ~bout the Vernon Avenue int~rsection. Mr. Hzmlin szid he would look into the m~tter. - Councilman Penc• reported ths merchsnts had met a.nd discussed Christm~s decor~tions. The Clerk wr~g asked to write Robert Jones, Los Padrss Forest Super- % ; visor to s~e about a large tree and write the Highwzy D~pt. to see if it could b~ I placed on one of the isl~nds znd they ha.d suggdst~d ~ n~tivity scen• for th• other ~ ~ i~l~nd. Mr. Hzmlin zgreed to see Mr. W~gner, Szfety Eng. nnd Mr. H~rris szid he would talk to IJtr. John Chaf£e~ a,bout use of the islands. Councilman Pence reported they had asked if the city would hzve ~ny funds to help on the decorativns. Tho Council ~greed to cooperzte with ~ny help they could give but it was doubtful if zny funds would be s~va.ilable. The Fire Chief ~nd Police Chief zgreed ta help with putting up' decorations also. Bills ag~inst the General Fund for ~2771.81, the ~lztor Fund for ~22lt0.33, the Water Dspasit Fund for ~36.00, the Sewer Rental Fund for ~66.36, and the Special Gz~ Tax Stre~t Improvement Fund for ~975.67 w~re zudited, zpproved znd or.d~red paid.
