i'he City Cp~cil met in regular session with I~tayor Burt presiding. Upon roll
call ~ouncilmen Lee, Jacobs and Br~nnar~ reported present. Absent Gouncilman Pence.
The minutes of the previozxs regular meeting were read and approved as read.
I~inutes of the February 13tfi meetin~ of the City Planning Commission were read.
Mr. Towle and ~r. Holloway were present to request water service to
Holloway's property which is 17~ ft. south of Fair Daks Ave. After a lengthy dis-
cussion it was agreed to refer the request to Councilman pence, ~ater Corr~nissioner
before making a decision.
N~r. Harria read for the first tim~ an ordinance he had prepared as an interim
ordinance to be effective immediately on its fin.al passage. A11 unzoned property
within the ~ity would be temporarily zoned R_1,
A lengthy discussion on improvement of goole, Short and possibly Whiteley
Streets followed and figures for different types of surfacing were given by Mr.
~1cLennan. ~ormation of an improvement district was discussed and were
to be prepared to present to the Council at the next meeting to see what the cost
would be for the property owners. ~°1r. Harri,s suggested the property owners
might find it chesper to pay the improvements without the formation of an assesa-
ment district.
Mr. Harris was to check the Health and Safety Code in regard to removal of
a partially burned building on ~`a11y-Ho Road.
Councilman I.ee asked about the storage of the xavvest Festival ~quipment~
however no one could recommend a location.
Bills against the General ~'und for ~201f~.32 and the Water F~d for ~2315.74
were audited appraved and ordered pai.d.
No further business appearing, upon motion the meeting adjourn~d.
