The C2ty Council met i.n regular session with Mayor ~urt presiding. Upon
roll call Councilmen Jacobs and t3r~nnan reported present. Cotaneilrr~an Pence''arrived ~
later. Councilman Lee ~bsent,
Minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and appro~red as read.
Figures ,for putting in a sprinkling system and planting laWn on the Island ~
was discussed and.j"!r. ~nderson was instructed to have the weeds mo~red and check'
with 7~en I~3.ller on puttin~ in a la~m. -
Bids for installing the sewer line on Wood Place were opened and taken
under advisement. ~ouncilman Fence recommended installing-the 6 inch water Zine
from Z'ract No. 109 on up Hillcrest ~rive to connect ~rith the 6 inch line at the
top of the hill. Approval for the installation was given. It Kas hoped this'
would help with water pressure to the Brisco ~ract.
~'~r. Harris read for the first time a~ales 2'ax Ordinance which he had
prepared. ~
Chief i~,ize requested permission to attend the (:&lifarnia Peace Officers
meeting in ~an ~`rancisco fi~ay 2bth to 29th, On motion of Councilman ~`ence,
seconded by ~ouncilman Jacobs the request ~aas ~ranted. -
~he Clerk was asked to call Di~con ~onrad and arrange for a meet~ng of
the ~ouncil and Supervisor ~heehy and the ~ounty Poundmaster to see, if so~-
thing could be worked out on picking up stray dogs. '
A~r. Harris asked permission to leave the State ~ay 28th to June 17th ~
and it was moved, seconded and carried that his request be granted.
The request for a sprinkling s~stem installation at the Williams Market
was denied.
Bills agains:t the ~eneral Fund for ~23,1~50.53, the ~+~ater Fund for
~8,480.~8, th~ Sewer R~nta1 Fund for ~7I~,l~O and the Water Deposit F~d for ~12.00
were audited, approved, and ordered paid.
Vouchers ~56 through ~'62 were suthoritied for transfer on motion of Couneil-
man Jacabs and seconded by Councilman ~3rennan.
