the Chief of poliee was given approva.l to attend the Zone meeting in
Santa Cruz on Z'hursday.
No further business appearing on motion the meeting adjourned.

The city ~ouncil met in regu~.ar sesszon with Nlayor Burt presiding.
Upon roll eall ~ouncilmen Lee, Pence, Jacobs and Brennan reported present.
The minutes of the previ.ous regular meeting were read and approved
as read.
Reports from the County Boundary Commission on the proposed anne;x-
ation of Fair Oaks No. 2 and No. 3 and Fair Oaks Major were received.
Their report stated that the boundaries of the proposed areas ~rere definite
and certain and would create no islands of vnincorporated territory.
Ntr, Anderson asked about adoption of Fire 2ones and the Fire Prevention
Code whieh had been recommended by the ~oard of Fire Underwriters af'ter
their last survey. There followed some discussion and the ~ouncil referred
the matter to the Gity Planning Cammission for their reco~nendation.
It was agreed to advertise for bids on the demolition and removal
of the old City Hal.l and Fire House. It was a~reed to give the old fire
siren to the ~ceano Beach Improvement Associa~ion to be used to ca11
volun~eer help to rescue anyone in trouble off shore.
