Minutes 1961-03-06 ~51 , Arroyo Grande, Calif. March 6, 1961 5:30 p.m. The City Council met in an adjourned meeting with _Mayor Burt presiding. Present were Councilmen Lee, Pence, Jacobs and Hartwig. ~ Mr. Harris read the heading of the Emergency Ordinance regulating fire and closing out sales in the City of-Arroyo Grande, for the 2nd reac~ing. A motion_was made by Council- man Jacobs, aecanded by Councilman Hartwig, to dispense with reading the balance of the Ordix~ance. All members present voted "Aye". ORDINANCE NO. 151 AN ORDINANCE (7F THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, REGULATING FI12~ AND CL4SING OUT SALES IN THE CI'T'Y _ OF ARROYO GRANDE, REPEALIN'G -ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFL~CT IiE~tEWITH, DECLARING TH~S ORDINANCE `Y,'O BE AN EM~TIGENCY ORDZNANCE '~O BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, AND PRO- VIDING PENALTIES FOR ~~IE VIOLATION HEREOF. On motion of Coun~ilman_Pence, seconded by Council- man Jacobs, and on the follo~ving roll call vote, to-wit: , AYESs Mayor Burt, Councilmen Lee, Pence, Jacobs, Hartwig . NOES: None ABSENT: None the foregoing Ordinance was adopted this 6th day of March, 1961. Representatives from the Remco Construction Company were present to discuss the building permit for the Young Brothers Market building north of Grand Avenue with the Council. A motion was made by Councilman Lee, seconded by Councilman Hartwig, that the site drainage on Young Brothers market at 18th and Grand Avenue be approved and a building permit be issued, said drainage to be subject to the developers installing on-site drainage facilities, either french drains or drainage we11s, and post a$2,500.00 construction_bond to cover said drainage facilities, construction of said drainage facilities to be approved by the Director of Public Works of the City of _Arroyo Grande.
