May 9, 1961 .
The ~ity Council met in xegular session with Mayor
Burt presiding. Present were Councilmen Pence, Jacobs and
Hartwig. Absent Councilman Lee.
The minutes of the regular meeting,of April 25th, 1961
and the adjourned meeting of May 2, 1961 were approved a5
prepared.
A motion was made by Councilman Pence, seconded by
Councilman Jacobs that the five year extension agreement
with the Woman's Club be accepted and the Mayor be authori~ed
to sign for the City. All members present voted "Aye".
ORDINANCE N0. 152
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
REPEALING-~RDINANGE N0. 96, ENTITLED "AN
ORDINANCE REQUIRING CHEST X-RAYS OF FQOD
HAND~?ERS IN THE CSTY OF ARROYO ~RANDE AS
AN.EVIDENCE OF FREEDOM FROM ACTIVE PULMO~TARY.

THE VIOLATION THEREOF."
On m,otion of Councilman Hartwig, seconded by Councilman
Jacobs, and on the following roll call_vote, ta=wit:
AYES: Mayor Burt, Councilmen_Pence, Jacobs and Hartwig
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Lee
the foregoing Ordinance was adopted this 9th day of May, 1961.
A motion was made by Councilman Jacobs, seconded by
Councilman Pence, that warrants against the General Fund
for $23,232.96, the Water Fund for $2,167.30,and the Water
Deposit Fund for $71.40 be approved and.ardered gaid. Al1
members present voted "Aye".
A motion was made by Councilman Jacobs, seconded by
Councilman-Hartwig, that Vouchers No. 65.thru 68 be appraved
and ordered transferred. All members present-voted "Aye".
A motion was made by Councilman Hartwig, seconded by
Councilman Jacobs that one Model No. 550 Wayne Sweeper be
acquired by the City on a Rental-Purchase Agreement and
~he Mayor be authorized to sign for the City. All members
present voted "Aye".
The hearing for the new ~oning-Ordinance was.opened and
there were`no pro~ests filed.
Mr. Harris read the Zoning;Ordina~ce for the first
reading.
A motion was made by;Councilman-Pence, s~conded by
Councilman Hartw~g, that bids for furnishing,and installing
a water_storage tank and_appurtenances on Brisco Hill, be
ca~:,~ed for and the bids to be opened at 7:30 p.m. on May 31,
_ 1961. All members present voted "Aye".
It was agreed that May 22nd to May 26th-1961 be designated
as Clean-Up.Week.
No Further business appearing, the meeting adjourned
at 9;55 p.m.
