Minutes 1962-06-18 ~38 Arroyo Grande, California June 18, 1962 7:,00 P.M. 'I~he City Council met in an adjourned session with Mayax Burt presiding. Present were Councilmen Jacobs and McNeil. Absent were Councilmen Lee and Wood. ~he he~tc~ing of the o~dinance approving the Fair Oaks- Arroyo Grande annexation was read for the second reading. A motion was made by Councilman Jacobs, seconded by Council- man McNeil, to dispense reading the balance of the ordinance, All members present voted "Aye". ORDINANCE NO. 162 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRI- TORY DESIGNATED AS "FAIR OAKS-ARROYO GRANDE ANNE.~ATION" ON THE 22ND DAY OF MAY, 1962. On motion of Gouncilman Jacobs, seconded by Council~an McNeil, and on the following roll call vote, to-wit: AYES: Councilmen Burt, Jacobs, and McNeil NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmen Wood and Lee the foregoing Ordinance was adopted this l8th day of June, 1962. Councilman Wood has now joined the Council. Mr. ~avid Bowen requested the requirements to connect his property to the sewer be clarified. The Council gave approval for the installation of a sewer ma.in to four lots north of Wood Place, owned by Mr. Bowen. The plans, speci- fications, and bids, subject to the approval of the City Director of Public Wvrks. Mr. Kemble submitted a proposal outlining the services to be rendered to locate a possible well site, for a$1,000 fee. The ~ouncil approved accepting the proposal.` The labor`portion of the budgets were discussed and pro- posed salaries were submitted for each department. Proposed budgets were submitted by all depa.rtments. The budgets were discussed and final approval would be at the regular meeting of July 10, 1962. A motion was made by Councilman Jacobs, seconded by Council- man McNeil that the salary portion of the budgets as established for the 1962-63 Fiscal Year be approved and become effective July l, 1962.
