The bids received from R.C.S. inc., 1224 Murray A~e., San Luis Obispo, Calif. - Price $4,784.71 includes shipping and tax; cost of installation -$220.00, Radio Corp. of America 1560 W. Vine St., Hollywood, Calif. - Price $4,397.00 plus freight and tax; cost of installation -$274.00, Motorola Communications, 12034 Riverside Drive, No. Hollywood, Calif. Price -$4,800.00 plus freight and tax; cost of installation, $435.00 for the purchase and installation of one base station, one antenna, three remote control units and four mobile units were presented for the Council's review. After discussion and upon recommendation of the City Administrator a motion was made by Councilman I,ee, seconded by Councilman Jacobs that the low bid submitted by Radio Corp. of .America in the amount , of $4,397.00 for equipment, $274.00 plus shipping and sales tax be accepted for the City of Arroyo Grande with the_install- ation of the equipment ~o begin in 30 days. 1~,11 members pre- sent voted "Aye , - INSURANCE REFUND A tnotion w~s made by Councilman Lee, seconded by Councilman Wood that a refuncl be processed to'~Royal-Globe Insurance in the amount of $66.67 to reimburse them for an over payment which was made to the City of Arroyo Grande by error. The City Attorney was instructed to draw up the necessary Resolu~tion reg,ardirzg; the proposed` name change of lst and 26th Streets to Elm Street. _ , _ ; ~ A motion was made by Councilman Wood, seconded by Council- man Jacobs that the City Administrator be instructed and directed to send notification to the County Board of Super- visors the Council's recommendation that 26th Street from Pike St. to Highway 1 be changed to Elm St. to aid in a more uni- form and orderly layout of Streets in the South San Luis Obispo Gounty area. All rnembers present voted "Aye". REGIONAL SEWER DISTRICT DISC. City Attorney David reported the County Board of Super- visors had continued the hearing for the formation of the South San Luis Obispo County Sanitation District to Aug. l9, 1963. Attorney David also stated that to date the meetings which have been held between the enities involved have not as yet been able to work out their differences': He, there- fore recommended that the City Council appoint a represent- ative to go befdze the County Board of Supervisors`on August ' 19th and request that the district be formed omitti~g Grover ` City from it boundaries. After Council dis- cussion it was decided no action be taken at this time. REQUEST FOR PAYR07~L CHANGE The City Administrator discussed with the Council the possibility of the City payroll being set up for payment each two weeks instead of bi-monthly and stated he would have further information on the subject for the next meeting. On motion of Councilman McNeil, seconded by Councilman Wood, that meeting adjourn at 10: 04 P.M. until 7: 00 P.M. for executive aession, Friday, August 16, 1963.
