A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
DESIGNATING A LANDMARK TREE 88-42
WHEREAS, S~c.10-3.06 of th~ Municipal Code of the City of A~~oYO
Grande provjd~s for the preservation and protection of c~rtain t~ees in
ord~r to produce a more desirable, 1?1easing and beautiful community and
to maintain and enhance community hlst9ric, cultura\ and p~op'e~ty
values, as well as to promote the public health, satety, comfort, and
welfa~e; and
WHEREAS, this tree at 551 Crown Hill, in the City of Ar"r"oyo G~ande,
and as 10cat~d and identified on the map attached to this resolution.
has been ~xamined by the Parks and Recreation Di~ecto~ of the City of
Ar~oyo G~and~ and has been found to be a Coast Liv~ Oak; and

WHEREAS, th i s tree, due to its age, sp~c i es, conf i gurat icon, and
historical value meets criteria for Landmark tre~ designation as
determined by the Parks and Recreation Director and Planning Commission;
and
WHEREAS, th~ Parks an9 Recreation Commission of the City of A~royo
Grande recommends to the City Council that this tree should be preserved
and protected and designated as a Landmark tree.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande hereby
designates this tree as a LandmarK Tree and directs that it shall be
monumented as LandmarK Tree Number 88-42; and
FURTHERMORE, this tree shad! be protected, pre5e-rved and maintained
by the- tree owner and subs~qu~nt tree owners and such tree shall not be
removed or destroyed by any party unless otherwise authorized by
Sec.l0-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo Grande.
