A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE Al'I'ROVING THE 1988-1989 ANNUAL LOCAL
TRANSPORTATION FUND CLAIMS TO THE SAN LUIS OBISPO
AREA COORDINATING COUNCIL

WJfRR ~AS, revenues derived from 1/ 4-cent of the 6 percent retail sales tax collected statewide
are apportioned to local governments to be used for tansportation purposes, pursuant to the
'lransportation Develoi;ment Act of 1971; and
WHEREAS, the City of Arroyo Grande's apportio/IIICnt of Local 'lransportation Funds (L TF) for
FY 1988-1989 is $247,606; and
WHEREAS, in addition, the City of Arroyo Grande's apportionment of State 'lransportation
Assistance (Sf A) FwIcB is $683; and
WHRR'R-\S, the City intends to use its LTF and STA revenues for operational expenses
associated with the SCAT System, the Regional Handicapped 'lransit System, the SLO-5CAT Link
System, and for Streets and Roads; and
WHEREAS, the City of Arroyo Grande hereby states a preference for using additional LTF, if
such funds becane available, for Streets and Roads; provided, however, that the City reserves the right
to file an amencled claim.
NOW, THEREPOBE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Arroyo Grande City CoWlcil approves
the City's LTF and Sf A claimi for FiscalYear 1988-1989, and directsstaCf to proceed with sulxnittal of
the claim documents.
BE rr FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Cbuncil of the City of Arroyo Grande, in accordance
with Qlapter 1400, Statutes 1971 and app1icab1e roles and regulations, approves the 1988-1989 Annual
'lransportation aaim, as per Exhibit A attached, and authorizes its sulxnittal, along with other
documentation required, to the San Luis Obispo Area Coordinating CbWlCil.
