AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL -
OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE
REGULATING WAT~ CHARGES TO REFLECT
ACTUAL COSTS (PRO-RATED)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
section 1. That the Municipal Code Title 6, Chapter 7 "Water
Services," Sec. 6-7.01 (f) be amended to read in its entirety as
follows:
U(f) Proration far nartions of months. When a ~ater bill is
rendered for any period time less than the regular period for water
furnished, the regular minimum monthly charge shall be prorated
based upon actual consumption. Such consumption shall be charged
at minimum rates, but conswnption at a rate in excess of the
regular period allowance shall be billed at the excess rates.
For Lopez contract charges, (g) below, prorated charges shall
be based upon the actual number of days water service is provided.
For a two-month billing period, sixty one (6l) days will be used
for calculation purposes."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty (30) days after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days
after its passage, it shall be published once, together with the
names of council ~embers voting thereon, in a newspaper of general
circulation within the city.

Johnson, and on the following roll call vote, to wit:

ABSENT: None
the foregoing Ordinance was passed and adopted this 25th day of
October 1988.
