A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE GRANTING A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY TO 234-TAXI, L L C FOR THE
OPERATION OF A TAXICAB SERVICE WITHIN THE CITY
LIMITS CONTINGENT UPON FULL COMPLIANCE WITH ALL
CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS OF TITLE 5, CHAPTER
5 72 "TAXICABS" OF THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL
CODE
WHEREAS, Amy and Leland Simpson, current owners of Grover Beach Taxi, have
applied for a new Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to operate a taxicab
service under the new name of 234-TAXI, L L C wthin the City of Arroyo Grande, and
WHEREAS, a public heanng to consider the application for a Certificate of Public
Convenience and Necessity for operation of a taxicab service was duly noticed and held
on December 11, 2007, and
WHEREAS, the City Counal has determined that public convenience and necessity
regwres the taxicab company to operate within the City limits
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Counal of the City of Arroyo
Grande hereby grants a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to
234-TAXI, L L C ,contingent upon full and total compliance with all the conditions and
requirements of Title 5, Chapter 5 72 of the Arroyo Grande Muniapal Code
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if the conditions and regwrements of the Arroyo
Grande Muniapal Code are not met by the applicant, the Certificate of Public
Convenience and Nea:ss~ty will not be issued
On motion by Counal Member Costello, seconded by Council Member Guthne and on
the following roll call vote, to wit
AYES Council Members Costello, Guthne, Fellows Arnold, and Mayor Ferrara

ABSENT None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 11th day of December 2007
