A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE GRANTING CONSENT TO THE COUNTY OF SAN LUIS
OBISPO TO FORM THE SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY TOURISM
BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTIRCT (SLOCTBID)
WHEREAS, the County of San Lws Obispo is beginning the process to establish a San
Luis Obispo County Tounsm Business Improvement Distract (SLOCTBID) pursuant to the
Parking and Business Improvement Area Law of 1989, Streets and Highways Code
Section 36500 et seq to promote tounsm and lodging businesses in San Luis Obispo
County and participating cities and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Lws Obispo has requested
consent to form the SLOCTBID in the cities of Arroyo Grande Atascadero, Grover Beach
Morro Bay Paso Robles Pismo Beach and San Lws Obispo with adoption of Board of
Supervisors Resolution No 2006-250, dated July 18, 2006, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande wishes to support the general
promotion of tounsm within the City and county and
WHEREAS the City of Arroyo Grande can withdraw consent to form the SLOCTBID by
adopting a Resolution withdrawing its consent and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande has held a public heanng on
this matter in accordance with State law and City Code and has provided required legal
notice to all hotel businesses within the City
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande 1) consents to the County of San Lws Obispo forming the San Lws Obispo
County Tourism Business Improvement Distract which Distract shall include the City of
Arroyo Grande 2) reserves the right at any time to withdraw its consent to the existence
and operation of the SLOCTBID within the City limits by adoption of a resolution
withdrawing said consent and 3) The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a certified
copy of this Resolution to the Clerk of the County of San Luis Obispo
On motion by Council Member Arnold seconded by Council Member Costello and by the
following roll call vote to wit
AYES Council Members Arnold Costello Guthne Fellows and Mayor Ferrara

ABSENT None
the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 22nd day of January 2008
