A RESOLUTION FIXING A ZERO DATUM PLAI~TE FOP.
THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE,
WHERr^~~?~S, in and by Resolution No. 2, entitled "Establishing
Official Grade of partians of Bridgeatreet, Branch Street and Pismo
Road in the City of Arroya Grande, San Luis Obispo County, State of
California" passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of
Arroya Grande, on the. 2nd day of June, 1920, the zero daturc. plane of
the City of Arroyo Grande was fixed and established as a horizontal
plane 115.03 feet vertically below the nut on the hydrant at the south-
west corner of tre intersection of Bridge and Branch streets, when said
hydrant is closed and the nut screwed down as firmly as possible.
AND WHEREAS, it has been found that the nut on said hydrant
is an unsatisfactory bench mark for the reason that syid hydrant is
liable to be moved at any time.
AND ~NHEP~EAS, it is necessary and desirable to establish a
permanent bench mark and to fix the city base or zero daturu plane of the
city of Arroyo Grande, in reference to such bench mark;
NOW TIIEREFOF~, be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of Arroyo Grande, that said Resolution No. 2, in-so-fa.r as the sage
fixes a zero datum plane for the City of Arroyo Grande, be and tY.e same
is hereby rescinded.
AND BE I`P FURTFfER RESOLVED, that the zero datum plane of the
City of Arroya Grande is a horizontal plane 116.67 feet ~rertically
below the upper surface of the United States Geaffiagieal~S~xrvs~ bench mark
situated in the steps of the bank building at the soutkiEaBt corner of
Bridge and Branch streets in the City of Arroyo Grande.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly adopted by the ,City Council of the City of Arroyo garde, at
a regular meeting thereof, duly held on the lFth,
day of January, 192'9, by the following vote.
