'uvHEREA5, ,the City of Arroyo Grande is the legal owner of the
following described real property situated in said City of Arroyo
Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, to wit:
Commencing at a point on the Southeasterly boundary line of
Lot 87 as laid do*rrzi and delineated on James T. Stratton~s
lt4ap of the Ranchos Corral de Piedra, Pismo and Bolsa de
Chemisal, made b~ Steele Brothers in 1873, said point bear-
ing North 56 3/4 East 358 ft. distant from stake 5. 420
standing at the most Southerly corner of Lot 87, as delineated
on Stratton~s Riap; running thence North 33° 10~ Piest 96 ft.;
thence 'South 56 3/4° Vlest 65 ft. thence South 33° 10~ East
96 feet; thence along the Southeasterly boundary line of said
Lot 87,iQorth 56 3/4° East 65 feet to the place of beginning,
said Lot being a part of said Lot 87 and also all the interest
in andf~to a certain right of xiay designated in the deed from
Jessie,Gasteel to one Joseph Barnoldo Silva dated January 22nd.
1890 and recorded in the Recorder's Office at San Luis Obispo
County in Liber 7 of Deeds, at page 361.
R'HEREAS, it is to the benefit of the City of Arroyo Grande
that said real property be sold.
u"•!HEREAS, this City Council has received a bid in the sum of
Two Hundred Fifty Dollars (`250.00) from H. F. Phoenix, for the
sale of said real property.
4`+HEREAS, this Council deems said sumt~ of "250.00 to be a
reasonable and adequate price for the sale of said property.

PiHEREFORE, it is duly resolved that the 147ayor of this City be,
and he is hereby, authorized to execute a grant deed of said property
to the said H. F. Phoenix upon the payment of said sum of °;250.00
by the said H. E. Phoenix to the Treasurer of the City of Arroyo
Grande, said deed to be in the ~rords and figures, to wit:

the City of Arroyo Grande, a municipal corporatioxx of the State
of California, party of the first part, and H. E. ?hoenix,
party of the second part, WITNESSETH: That the said party
of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred
Fifty and OO/100 Dollars, lawful money of the United States of
Arnerica, to it in hand paid bV the said party of the second
part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does by these
presents grant, bargain, and sell unto the said party of the
second part, and to his heirs and assigns forever, all that
cer•tairx lot, piece or parcel of land situate in the County of
San Luis Obispo, State of California, and bounded and described
as follows, to wit:
Commencing at a point on the Southeasterly boundary line of
Lotl87 as laid down and delineated on James T. Stratton+s
Map of the Ranchos Corral de ?iedra, Pismo and Bolsa de
