A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, COUNTY OF SAN LUIS
OBISPO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
FAITHFUL PERFORMANCE BOND DATED DECEMBER
21, 1942 AND CANCELLING'FAITHF'UL PERFORMANCE
BOND DATED DECEPLiBER 15,"1937, RELATIVE TO
FRANCHISE CGRATdTED BY ORDINANCE N0. 59.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande, County of San Luis Gbispo, State of California, did by
Ordinance Ito. 59, granted on the 15th day of December 1937, grant
to SAPITA MARIA GAS COMPANY the right, franchise and privilege to
maintain and operate a system of gas pipes in, under and along all
public streets, highways, and alleys now existing,or which here-
e.fter exist within said City of Arroyo Grande, and
WHEREAS, R. E. EASTON and FRANCIS H. THROOP as
sureties filed a bond in the penal sum of One Thousand 01000.00)
Dollars dated December 15, 1937, to comply with the terms and
conditions of said franchise.
Vd`TIEREAS, SOUTP.ERIQ COUNTIES GAS COI~4PADTY OF CALIFORNIA
is now the owner of said franchise and is entitled to exercise all
rights thereunder, and has filed a new Faithful Performance Bond
under said franchise.
NO'v"J TF~ftEFORE, be it resolved by the City Council
of the City of Arroyo Grande:
Section 1. That the bond of the Associated Indemnity
Corporation No. 13931 in the penal sum of One Thousand (51000.00)
Dollars, dated December 2L, 1942 and filed by said Southern Counties
Gas Company of California on

to comply with the terms and conditions of said franchise, be and
the same is hereby approved.
Section 2. That the aforesaid bond filed by R. E.
EASTON and FRANCIS H. THROOP be and. hereby is cancelled, and that

the principal and sureties on said bond be and they hereby are
discharged and released from all obligations under said bond, and
furtrer that said bond be surrendered to said SCUTIIERN COUNT IBS
GAS COP-4PAYdY OF CALIFORNIA or its order.
Section 3. That the Clerk of the City Council of
the City of Arroyo Grande shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution.
