d~'FT'~?EAS:a harbor developma3nt far small craft mooring,public
and ce.mping areas,is proposed in order to tike advantage of
Federal and State funds available for this type of recreational
clevelopment,and
WHEREAS', the U.S.Government is interested in providing safe
anchorage;for small craft at frequent intervals along the
California coast, and
t'r'EiEREA5',there is presently no safe anchorage for small craft
along the, coast of California between Santa Barbara and AAonterey,
and
[S'HEREAS, the reside3lts of the San Joaquin Valley and the
Central Coast District are interested in such a project as an
outlet for recreational activities
TG?OW THEREFORE Bw IT RESOLVF'D,that the City of Arroyto Grande
go on record as favoring the development of an inner harbor in
San Luia Obispo Bay at Av31a,Ca~.ifornia.
