BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA ~~:t~ ~
IN THE MATTER OF'STATE FUNDS (ADDITION TO SEWER SYSTEM, CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, TEN INCH SEWER TRUNK LINE FROM WESTERN ADDITION TO
CONNECT WITH MAIN SEWER OUTFACE).
The following Resolution is now introduced;
1, WHEREAS, the, State of California under Chapter 47, Statutes of 1944,
(4th Extra Session) has appropriated funds for allotment by the Director
of Finance to provide financial assistance to Local Agencies defined there-
in as counties, cities or cities and counties for the purpose of defray-
ing not to exceed one-half the cost of preparing engineering field surveys,
engineering or architectural designs, and working and detailed drawings
and specifications (hereinafter called "Plans") required for post war
public works protects desciibed as "specific projects" in said Act; and
2. WHEREAS, the City of Arroyo Grande, hereinafter designated as "Local
Agency", desires to apply to the Director of Finance and/or the Post War
Public Works Review Board, as the case may be, for an allotment of the
State's share of the estimated cost of preparing the completed plans here-
inafter mentioned and there has been prepared and presented to this
Legislative Body for consideration and application for such purpose; and
3, WHEREAS, Local Agency has provided, or will make available upon
approval of the aforementioned application, sufficient funds to prepare
the completed plans herein mentioned;

4. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Local Agency submit the aforesaid
application to the Director of Finance and/or the Post War Public Works
Review Board, as the case may be, requesting•allotment of Three Hundred
and Fifty-one Dollars and Twelve Cents ($351.12) being not more than one-
half the cost of preparing said completed plans, or for such amount as may
be approved by the Director of Finance and/or the Post War Public Works
Review Board, (said allotment to be used for the purpose of defraying the
cost of preparing said completed plans required) for a specific protect to
be undertaken by Local Agency and described as ADDITION TO SEWER SYSTEM,
CITY OF ARROYO .GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, TEN INCH SEWER TRUNK LINE FROM WESTERN
" DDITION TO CONNECT WITH MAIN SEWER OUTFACE.

5. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the estimated cost of preparing such
plans is Seven Hundred and Two and 24/100 ($702.24) Dollars and that
Local Agency has made provisions for paying one-half or more of the cost
of preparing such plans;
6, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that for the purposes of this application,
BEN D. CONRAD, CIVIL ENGINEER, 967 OSOS STREET, SAN LUIS OBIS PO, CALIF-
ORNIA, be and heyhereby is designated as the authorized agent of Local
Agency and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the above-mentioned
application on behalf of the Local Agency and submit same to the Director
of Finance and/or the Post War Pubiic Works Review Board together with
a certified statement of the estimated cost of preparing such plans
and such other information as may be required; and said authorized agent
is further authorized and directed as the representative of Local Agency
to conduct all negotiations and conclude all arrangements, including sub-
mission to the Director of Finance applications for reimbursement, which
may be necessary to secure reimbursement for the State's share of the ex-
penditures made in preparing said completed plans.
