IN THE MATTER OF ;STATE FUNDS (ADDITION TO SEWER SYSTEM, CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, SIX INCH SEWER LATERALS IN WESTERN ATTITION TO CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE).
The following Resolution is now introduced;
1. WHEREAS, the State of California under Chapter 47, Statutes of 1944,
(4th Extra Session), has appropriated funds for allotment by the Director
of Finance to provide financial assistance to Local Agencies defined there-
in as counties, cities or cities and counties for the purpose of defray-
ing not to exceed one-half the cost of preparing engineering field surveys,
engineering or architectural designs, and working and detailed drawings
and specifications (hereinafter called "Plans") required for post war
public works projects described as "specific projects" in said Act; and
2. WHEREAS, the City of Arroyo Grande, hereinafter designated as "Local
Agency", desires!to apply to the Director of Finance and/or the Post War
Public Works Review Board, as the case may be, for an allotment of the
Status share of~the estimated cost of preparing the completed plans here-
inafter mentioned and there has been prepared and presented to this
Legislative Body 'for consideration and application for such purpose; and
3. WHEREAS, Local Agency has provided, or will make available upon
approval of the aforementioned application, sufficient funds to prepare
the completed plans herein mentioned;
4. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Local Agency submit the aforesaid
application to the Director of Finance and/or the Post War Public Works
Review Board, as ;the case may be, requesting allotment of Five Hundred and
Five Dollars and~Ninety-nine Cents ($505.99) being not more than one-half
the cost of preparing said completed plans, or for such amount as may be
approved by the Director of Finance and/or the Post War Public Works Review

Board, (said allotment to be used for the purpose of defraying the cost of
preparing said completed plans required) for a specific project to be under-
taken by Local Agency and described as ADDITION TO SEWER SYSTEM, CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, SIX INCH SEWER LATERALS IN WESTERN ADDITION TO

5. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the estimated cost of preparing such
plans is One Thousand and Eleven and 98/100 ($1011,98) Dollars and that

Local Agency has made provisions for paying onec•half or more of the cost
of~preparing such plans;
6, BE IT FURTHER RES~.VED, that for the purposes of this application,
BEN D. CONRAD, CIVIL ENGINEER, 967 OSOS STREET, SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIF-
ORMIA, be and heyhereby is designated as the authorized agent of Local
Agency and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the above-mentioned
application on behalf of the Local Agency and submit same to the Director
of Finance and/or the Post War Public Works Review Board together with
a certified statement of the estimated cost of preparing such plans
and such other information as may be required; and said authorized agent
is further authorized and directed as the representative of Local Agency
to conduct all negotiations and conclude all arrangements, including sub-
mission to the Director of Finance applications for reimbursement, which

may be necessary to secure reimbursement for the State's share of the ex-
penditures made in preparing said completed plans. j
