A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE ESTABLISHING A JOB DESCRIPTION AND SALARY RANGE
FOR THE PART-TIME BUILDING PERMIT TECHNICIAN POSITION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande ("City") deems it in the
best interest of the City to eliminate the full-time Building Permit Technician position in the
Building & Life Safety Division and create apart-time position to more efficiently meet the
existing workload level; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the best interest of the City to establish a
salary range for the part-time Building Permit Technician position; this position will be
placed on a permanent part-time employee salary schedule.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande that the position of part-time Building Permit Technician is hereby established to
perform the duties and responsibilities set forth in the job description of Building Permit
Technician.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the salary range for part-time Building Permit
Technician shall be as follows:
POSITION START 1 YEAR 2 YEARS 3 YEARS+
PAY SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE
Building Permit Technician $18.83 $19.77 $20.76 $21.79
Per City Council Resolution No. 4103, a .5% COLA will be effective December 26, 2008 for
all part-time employees as follows:

PAY SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE
Building Permit Technician $18.92 $19.87 $20.86 $21.90
On motion of Council Member Costello, seconded by Council Member Guthrie, and on the
following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Costello, Guthrie, Arnold, Fellows, and Mayor Ferrara
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 25th day of November 2008.
