A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE MODIFYING COMPENSATION FOR
MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES FOR FY 2009-10
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande ("City") deems it in the best
interest of the City that compensation for management employees be adjusted as
hereinafter provided.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande
that:
The following days shall be non-paid furlough days for all management employees,
except for specified Police and Fire classifications:
a. December 28, 2009
b. December 29, 2009
c. December 30, 2009
2. Exempted classifications include the following:
a. Chief of Police
b. Police Commander
c. Police Department Executive Secretary
d. Director of Building & Fire
e. Fire Department Executive Secretary
3. Employees are not eligible to use sick, vacation, compensatory time pay, personal
days, bereavement, jury duty or other paid leave during these days. Employees in
positions performing functions determined necessary during this period as
authorized by the City Manager shall work their normal shift and instead take three
(3) non-paid furlough days between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010.
4. For all management employees except for those exempted, New Year's Eve shall
be a full day paid holiday rather than a '/2 day paid holiday. New Year's Eve shall
continue to be a % day paid holiday for management position classifications that are
exempted.
5. All other current management employee salary and benefit terms and conditions
shall remain in full force and effect.
