Minutes 1984-08-23 SP c ? , CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 23, 1984 ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA 7:00 P.M. SPECIAL MEETING The City Council met in Special Session with Mayor BlAnn Smith presiding. Upon roll call Councilmen Matt Gallagher and Karl Hogan were present; Mark Millis and Lawrence Vandeveer were absent. OAK PARK TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT AGREEMENT City Manager Mack distributed copies of a letter received from Mr. Jesus M. Garcia, District Director of Transportation, CalTrans, presenting an explanation regarding the southbound on-ramp situation; the two proposed phases of the project; the environmental document for the project; and the requirement for each agency to execute a new freeway agreement with the State prior to beginning construction. Council was addressed by DON BOGGESS, 1590 Sierra Drive; RON Di CARLI, 538 Le Point; GREG SAMSON, Manager, K-MART; CHUCK FELLOWS, 202 Canyon Way; REUBEN KVIDT, 1534 W. Branch, Arroyo Grande. On motion by Councilman Gallagher, seconded by Mayor Smith for discussion, to approve the tetter in conjunction with Grover City and Pismo Beach, and to approve the Joint State and Local Agency Oak Park Interchange Proposal. Further discussion followed; and the motion carried unanimously. RESOLUTION ADOPTION: CLOSURE OF A STREET FOR HARVEST FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES City Manager Mack read the title of the Resolution. On motion of Councilman Gallagher, seconded by Councilman Hogan, and unanimously carried, to dispense with further reading of the Resolution. RESOLUTION NO. 1791 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE REQUESTING AUTHORIZATION TO CLOSE A CITY STREET. On motion of Councilman Gallagher, seconded by Councilman Hogan and on the following roll call vote, to wit: ' AYES: Councilmen Gallagher, Hogan and Mayor Smith NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmen Millis and Vandeveer the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 23rd day of August 1984. ADJOURNMENT .On motion of Councilman Gallagher, seconded by Councilman Hogan, and unanimously carried, to adjourn the Special Session.
