ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA 7:00 P.M.
The'City Council convened and was called to order by Mayor B'Ann Smith.
Council Members Mark Millis, Lawrence Vandeveer, and Karl Hogan were present;
Council Member Matt Gallagher was absent.
Pat White, applicant for City Clerk's position failed to show for the
interview as arranged for 7:10 P.M. Mrs. .Vi rginia Culp, applicant for Ci ty
Clerk's position, withdrew her application from candidacy through written
conmunication.
At approximately 7:20 P.M., Mrs; Nancy Davis, candidate for City Clerk,
was interviewed by the City Council. She provided her professional. and personal
background verbally. She stated that she desires City Clerk training and can
attend City Clerk courses. She envisions the role of the Deputy City Clerk
and the City Clerk to remain similar to the current relationship with regard
to division of duties. Council Members Vandeveer and Millis agreed that it was
desirable for the new City Clerk to attend City Clerk.workshops.

After the interview, Councit stated that it wo~tdmake appointment of
the City Clerk at its next meeting.
At 7:42 P.M., Councit Member Vandeveer moved for adjournment. The motion
wa~ seconded by Council Member Hogan, and unanimously passed.
