RESOLUTION NO. 327 1
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
AUTHORIZING TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF A PORTION OF RANCHO PARKWAY
WHEREAS, the contractor for the Central Coast Town Center has requested temporary
closure of a portion of Rancho Parkway to allow for greater public safety during
construction; and
WHEREAS, the contractor is responsible for traffic control, construction safety, and
cleanup.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande
that Rancho Parkway, between Via Vaquero and West Branch Street may be closed to
through traffic, subject (the "road") to the following conditions:
1. A request for road closure shall be made to the Director of Public Works in
writing at least 48 hours in advance of the requested closure date.
2. Road closure shall be subject to the prior written approval of the Director of
Public Works.
3. The road may only be closed when construction activities would otherwise
reduce traffic to a one lane condition, such as during construction of the
water main and the road widening.
4. The contractor shall schedule all construction activities to minimize the
duration of road closure.
5. Emergency vehicle access shall be maintained at all times.
On motion of Council Member Runels , seconded by Council Member
Lady , and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES:Council Members Runels, Lady, Fuller, and Mayor Dougall

ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: Council Member Tolley
