ORDINANCE NO. 307 C.S,
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE MODIFYING THE ZONING ORDINANCE,
SECTIONS 9-4.1403, 9-4.1404, AND 9-4.1405,
RELATING TO MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE HEIGHT OF
STRUCTURES IN THE HIGHWAY SERVICE DISTRICT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 9-4,1403. Uses permitted subject to obtaining a use permit (H-S).
(i) Nonflashing, nonrotating, interior lighted free standing signs
appurtenant to a permitted use not exceeding 150 square feet
per face or 300 square feet total all faces, having a maximum
height of -dU.Jt;t!f-6-f.ve (35') 6eet. Only one such sign shall be
permitted per center or complex under single ownership;
Section 9-4.1404. Accessory buildings and uses permitted (H-S).
(c) Permanent nonflashing signs appurtenant to a permitted use when
attached to the building having a maximum size of 150 square feet
each face. No banners, flags, or strips shall be permitted. No
projection into any public right-of-way shall be permitted.

Section 9-4.1405. Maximum allowable height (H-S).
The maximum building or structural height of all buildings in
the Highway Service (H-S) District shall be -dU.Jt;t!f (30') 6eet

This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after its
passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be published
once, together with the names of the Council Members voting thereon, in a
newspaper of general circulation within the City.
On motion of Council Member Millis" seconded by Council Member Vandeveer,
and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Vandeveer, Gallagher, Millis, Hogan and Mayor Smith
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Ordinance was passed and adopted on the 24th day of January 1984.
