O 304 C.S. ORDINANCE NO. 304 C.S. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH CITY SEWER CHARGES FOR MULTIPLE BUSINESSES SERVED BY A SINGLE SEWER!WATER SERVICE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Section 6-6.1001 of the Municipal Code Is hereby amended to read In full as follows: S~ction 6-6.1001. Ci ty Charges. ,- All customers, upon connection to a public sewer line, shall be required to pay a bimonthly sewer service charge for those plp~llnes and appurt~nances .. constructed, maintained, and operated by the City primarily for the collection of sewage and the conveyance thereof to the sewage plant owned and operated by 'the South San Luis Obispo County Sanitation District in accordance with the following schedule effective September 22, 1983, through January 21, 1984: USE RATE (1) Single-family dwellings $2.45 per month (2) Each single-family dwellin~ unit $2.45 per month In any duplex, multiple dwelling, apartment house, mobile home, or travel trai ler (3) Motels and hotels $1.35 per unit per month without kitchen facilities; $1.75 per unit per month with kitchen facll i ties (4) Commerc i a I, industrial, and businesses: Single Business with separate $2.45 per month or 50% of the sewer service and water meter water bill, whichever sum is greater. Multiple Businesses on one sewer service and water meter: Each separate sewer and water Corresponding multiples of service, such as a hallway $2.45 per month, based on number restroom, kitchen, etc. of such sewer/water services, OR 50% of the water bill, whichever is greater. Commerc I a I, industrial, and other businesses are subject to higher rates if heavy discharges or the character of the sewage warrants. (5) Hospitals, rest homes, and $1.35 per authorized bed capacity convalescent homes per month, as licensed by the State, or 50% of' the monthly water bill, whichever sum Is greater. (6) Churches $2.45 per month USE RATE (]) Schools (nonboarding) $2.45 per month, per 100 average daily attendance, plus $2.45 per month for schools with a cafeteria (8) Schools (boarding) $.13 per student per month per average dally attendance (9) Unclassified uses $2.45 per month or 50% of the monthly water bill, whichever sum is greater, for premises having a sewer connection but for which a specific classification for sewer service charges has not been establ ished. , The following schedule shall be effective January 22, 1984, through June 21, 1984: '-" USE RATE (1) Single family dwellings $2.70 per month (2) Each single-family dwelling unit $2.70 per month in any duplex, multiple dwelling, apartment house, mobile home, or travel trai ler (3) Motels and hotels $1.50 per unit per month'without kitchen facilities; $1.85 per unit per month with kitchen faci I i ties (4) Commerc I a I, Industrial, and businesses: Single Business with separate $2.70 per month or 50% of the sewer service and water meter water bill, whichever sum is greater. Multiple Businesses on one sewer service and water meter: Each separate sewer and water Corresponding multiples of service, such as a hallway $2.70 per month, based on number restroom kitchen, etc. of such sewer/water services, OR 50% of the water bill, whichever Is greater. The following schedule shall be effective June 22, 1984: USE RATE (1) Single-family dwellings $2.95 per month (2) Each single-family dwelling unit $2.95 per month In any duplex, multiple dwelling, apartment house, mobile home, or travel trailer (3) Motels and hotels $1.60 per unit per month without kitchen facilities; $1.95 per unit per month with kitchen facill ties. (4) Conmercial, industrial, and businesses: Single Business with separate $2.95 per month or 50% of the sewer service and water meter water bill, whichever sum Is greater. Multiple Businesses on one sewer service and water meter: Each separate sewer and water Corresponding multiples of $2.95 service, such as a hallway per month, based on number of restroom, kitchen, etc. such sewer/water services, OR 50%,of the water bill, whichever is greater. (5) Hospitals, rest homes, and $1.60 per authorized bed capacity convalescent homes per month, as licensed by the State, or 50% of the monthly water bill, whichever sum is greater. (6) Churches $2.95 per month (]) Schools (nonboarding) $2.95 per month, per 100 average dally attendance, plus $2.95 per month for schools with a cafeteria. (8) Schools (boarding) $.15 per student per month per average daily attendance. (9) Unclassified uses $Z.95 per month or 50% of the monthly water bill, whichever sum is greater, for premises having a sewer connection but for which a specific classification for sewer service charges has not been establ ished. . _ , 1 " . SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall be published once, together with the names of the Council Members voting thereon in the Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder.
