O 234 C.S. u"v '-~'3;iJ:,;.F,~']/'.'o-~'-<;r ORDINANCE NO. 234 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTIONS .01, .02, AND.03 OF CHAPTER 7 OF TITLE 2 TO PROVIDE FOR SEVEN MEMBERS OF THE PARKING AND TRAFFIC COMMISSION, THE TERMS OF OFFICE FOR SAID MEMBERS, AND SETTING TIME AND PLACE OF MEETINGS _ The City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande does ordain as I follows: SECTION I: That Section .01 of Chapter 7 of Title 2 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code is amended to read as -follows: I Section 2~7.01. Created: Membership A Parking and Traffic Commission for the City is hereby created. The Parking and Traffic Commission shall consist of seven (7) members, all of whom sha II be appo i nted by the Mayor with the approva I of the Council. The members shall be qualified electors of the City. SECTION 2: That Section .02 of Chapter 7 of Title 2 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: Section 2-7.02. Terms of Office: Vacancies Members of the Parking and Traffic Commission shall be appointed for terms of one, two or three years so that no more than three (3) members' terms shall expire in anyone year. Their successors and all additional members to the Commission shall be appointed for terms of three (3) years. If a vacancy shall occur other than by expiration of term, the Mayor, with the approval of the Council, shall appoint a qualified person for the unexpired portion of the term. SECTION 3: That Section .03 of Chapter 7 of Title 2 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: .Section 2-7.03. Meetings The Parking and Traffic Commission shall meet at least once a month during the evening at the Arroyo Grande City Hall upon a day and at a time designated from time to time by resolution adopted by the Parking and Traffic Commission and at such other times as the Commission may deem necessary or advisable, SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be published once, together with the names of the Council Members voting thereon, in the Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder.
