AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING
CHAPTER 4, TITLE 9, OF THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL
CODE BY AMENDING SECTIONS 713, 813, AND 913 THEREOF
TO PROVIDE FOR THE MINIMUM DENSITY IN THE R-2, R-3,
AND R-G ZONES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS: i
SECT! ON 1: That Subsection (a) of Section 713, Chapter 4, Title 9
of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
Section 9-4.713. Density Per Family Unit (R-2) I I
(a) There shall be a gross area of 3,960 square feet per II
family unit provided on each building site.
SECTION 2: That Section 813, Chapter 4, Title 9, of the Arroyo
Grande Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
Section 9-4.813. Open Area and Density Per Family Unit (R-G)
A minimum of two hundred fifty (250) square feet per unit
sha~l be provided on the building site of landscaped areas,
walkways. recreation areas but not including structures,
driveways or parking areas. There shall be a gross area of
2,562 square feet per family unit provided on each building
site.
SECTION 3: That Subsection (a) of Section 913, Chapter 4, Title 9
of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: ,

Section 9-4.913. Open Area Required and Maximum Density Allowed (R-3)
(a) Not less than 200 square feet of open.area per family unit
shall be provided on the site, which may include'landscaped
areas, walkways, and recreation areas but not structures,
driveways, or parking areas. The maximum density shall be
a minimum of 2,178 square feet of gross land area per
dwell ing uni t.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty
(30) days after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage, it
shall be published once, together with the names of the Council Members voting
thereon in the Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder.
On motion of Council Member Smith, seconded by Council Member Millis,
and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
