A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE THAT A PUBLIC NUISANCE MAY EXIST AT
444 WALNUT STREET.
WHEREAS, the owner of property located at 444 Walnut Street has been conducting
an automobile repair service at the above referenced address without benefit of proper zoning,
City business license, or other proper authorization; and
WHEREAS, the owner was notified of such violation and has failed to cease such use
of property.
WHEREAS, the intent and purpose of the Zoning Ordinance is to protect the public
health, safety and welfare and to preserve the aesthetic character of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE rr Irn>OLVED that the City Cbuncil does find, based on the
reconrnendations of the Planning Director, that a Public Nuisance may exist on the
aforementioned property, conmonly known as 444 Walnut Street, Arroyo Grande, CalifmJia, and
more particularly described as follows:
In the City of Arroyo Grande, Cbunty of San Luis Obispo,
state of California, a portion of Lot 114 of the Ranchos
Cbrral de Piedra Pismo and Balsa de ChamisaI. Also Identified
by Cbunty Assessor's Parcel No. 77-272-36.
BE rr FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event that finding that a Public Nuisance
exists, it will be the intent of the City Cbuncil to direct the Director of Planning and the City
Attorney to abate the nuisance at the owner's expense.
BE rr FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Cbuncil has directed the City Clerk to
couse to be conspicuously posted on the premises a certified copy of this Resolution, as well as
a "Notice of Public Hearing"; and, further, that at least fifteen (15) days before the Public
Hearing, the City Clerk shall cause to be served on the owner one copy of the "Notice of
Public Hearing" and a certified copy of this Resolution.
BE rr FURTHER Irn>OLVED that the date and time fixed for the Public Hearing
shall be on the 12th day of May, 1987 at 7:30 P.M., in the City Cbuncil Chambers at 215 E,
Braneh Street, Arroyo Grande, California, at which time any and all interested parties may
testify and present evidence regarding this matter.
On motion of Cbuncil Member Porter, seconded by Cbuncil Member Johnson, and on the
following roll call vote, to wit:
A YES: C,oW1cil Members Porter, Johnson, Millis, Moots and Mayor Mankins
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
The foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 14th day of April 1987.
