RESOLUTION NO. 2128
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE REQUESTING AUTHORIZATION
TO RESTRICT PARKING ON BRANCH STREET
WHEREAS, the Strawberry Festival Committee of the City of Arroyo
Grande has requested that no parking be permitted on both sides of Branch
Street (Highway 227) between Traffic Way and Mason Street in the City of
Arroyo Grande, State of California, for the period of B:OO A.M. to 6:00
P.M. Saturday, May 23, 1987, and 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, May 24,
19B7; and
WHEREAS, the reason for the restricted parking will be for purposes
of holding annual Strawberry Festival activities; and
WHEREAS, the Arroyo Grande Po1ice Department wi11 arrange for signin9
during the period of time that restricted parking is requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE hereby
resolves as follows:
1. That request be made of the State of California Department of
Transportation for permission to restrict parking on a portion of
Branch Street, also known as Highway 227, from Traffic Way to Mason
Street, for the period of B:OO A,M. to 6:00 P.M. Saturday, May 23,
1987, and 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, May 24, 1987.
2. That the City Council authorizes the restricted parking on said
street upon receipt of approval from the State Department of Transporta-
tion for said parking restriction.
3. That the Arroyo Grande Po 1 ice Department wi 11 arrange for "no
parkin9" si9ns on said street,

AYES: Council Members Porter, Moots, Johnson, Millis and Mayor Mankins
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 7th day of April,
1987.
