A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE ACCEPTING THE COONry CLERK'S CERTIFICATE--
RESULTS OF CANVASS OF ALL VarFS CAST FDR THE CITY'S
EI...EX:TION FOR MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS
HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 1986, IN CONJUNCrION WITH THE
STATEWIDE GENERAL ELECTION
WHEREAS, on November 4, 1986, a General Election was held in the
County of San Luis Obispo; and
WHEREAS, included on the ballot for said General Election was a listing
of candidates for Mayor and City Council Members for the City of Arroyo
Grande in its scheduled General Municipal Election; and
WHEREAS, the County Clerk did in fact conduct said Election and canvass
the returns of the votes cast at said General Election held on November
4, 1986, and provide said results of canvass to the Office of the City
Clerk, City of Arroyo Grande, a copy of which is attached and incorporated
as a part of this document.
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Arroyo Grande does hereby accept the County Clerk's Certificate - Results
of Canvass of All Votes Cast in the City's General Municipal Election Appearing
on the November 4, 1986, General Election Ballot.
On rrotion of Council Member Moots, seconded by Council Member Porter,
and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Mayor Smith and Council Members Johnson, Moots and Porter
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Gallagher
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 2nd day of December,
1986.

I, FRANCIS M. COONEY, County Clerk~Recorder of the County
of San Luis Obispo, do hereby certify that pursuant to law, I did
canvass the returns of the votes cast at said General Election held
on November 4, 1986, in the City of Arroyo Grande, and that a xerox
copy of the Statement of Votes Cast (the original of which is on
file in the Office of the County Clerk-Recorder) to which this
certificate is attached, shows the number of votes cast in said
City for and against each candidate for the office of Mayor and
Member of the City Council and that the totals shown for and against
each candidate for the office of Mayor and Member of the City
Council in said City, and in each of the respective precincts
therein, are full, true and correct.
